Fermata School of Music, Lucan, Co. Dublin was established in 2011 by Patrycja Mikiciuk due to a demand for high quality music education in the Dublin area. The school offers quality music education based on a proven artisic programme methodology, known accross the world. They also adhere to the Suzuki and Kodaly methods and the newest requirements of the Royal Academy of Music in Ireland.
The teaching programme is modelled on the ideas of the music school curriculum developed by Patrycja Mikiciuk. It also complies with the requirements of the Royal Irish Academy of Music and their own team of highly qualified instrumental teachers. All instrumental and vocal exams are conducted externally in accordance with the Royal Irish Academy of Music (RIAM) syllabuses. RIAM exams are not mandatory to successfully complete any course in the school. Students take part in concerts, shows and yearly school events. Fermata School of Music successfully prepare their pupils to junior exams and leaving certificate exams, in both theory and practical parts.
The school's ambition is to become an Intercultural Music Centre to all European and world nationalities.
Every child or parent will find a place where they can not only learn to play an instrument, but also meet in pleasant company, speak artistically, listen to various types of music, admire the achievements of the younger and older talent and talk pretty much about everything.
